Glad to be back!
Hello my beloved readers! I am so glad to be back, blogging for Playgirl London again! Isn't it crazy how quickly a year can fly by?
So very many things can happen to a person in a mere 365 days. For myself, I went through some of the biggest life changes I have yet faced. Here they are, in no particular order:
*** My teensy bit of facebook fame brought me to my true love. What are the odds?? Out of nearly 5000 strangers, I managed to meet the man of my dreams! We began ceaselessly corresponding, crossing borders to be together, falling in love and finally, this year, getting married.
*** I had to say goodbye to 2 of my best friends, my dogs Dusty and Graham and most heart-breakingly, my mother. She had been battling the big 'C' for nearly 5 years, and this was the year that she couldn't fight anymore. I miss her ever-so.
*** With all of the less-than-exciting things that encompass the settling of estates and moving to a new country, I had given up my burlesque dancing, alternative modelling and writing. This was a particularly difficult one me because all 3 of those passions greatly defined who I felt I was a s a person. Giving them up (along with many of my personal possessions, in order to make the move easier) left me with a lot of doubt about who I am and where I want to go in life.
*** Now for some more good changes: I am pregnant with my very first child! This is particularly exciting for me not only because from an early age I knew I wanted a family, BUT I was diagnosed as 'reproductively challenged' in my early 20's. In short, my doctors told me the odds were very much against me. And now, here I am, 8 months along, eagerly awaiting the birth of my beautiful son!
So there you have it folks: my year in a nutshell. I wanted to share a little bit about me with all of you so that you'll have a better idea about who I am, and why I write about the things I do.
Again, so glad to be back! Do feel free to write me if ever you have a question, comment, suggestion, criticism or just feel like saying 'hello'. I will do my very best to get back you.
