Women today are brought up to be self-sufficient.

Women today are brought up to be self-sufficient. We pursue our education and career to the extreme. We can cook up a storm and change a flat tire. We are in charge of our sexuality and go after the men we want.

It’s almost a personal flaw when a woman admits to wanting to be conquered. “Conquered” in the romantic sense. In the sexual sense. Dreaming about having a beautiful man sweep us up into their arms and make love to us right then and there!

Admitting that out loud makes us appear vulnerable and in today’s society vulnerable has taken on a pejorative sense. But that doesn’t mean we don’t secretly wish for it. That doesn’t mean we don’t occasionally read the trashy Harlequin romance novel and pretend that we are the damsel in distress.

That leaves us at a difficult cross-road.

We don’t want to compromise all that we have worked so hard to achieve, but we also don’t want to give up the thrill of our fantasy. So what to do?

Subtly enable our “rescue”...that’s what.

Can we really hope to out-run a man when we’re in our highest of heels?

Let’s face it: those beautiful dresses and skirts we often wear are the equivalent of waving a red flag in front of a bull!

And what about the beautiful corset you’ve got under there? The way it highlights your figure...your femininity!

So let’s continue to dominate our education, our careers and go after all we want in life! But let’s do it in our finest heels, our most fluttery dresses and our most-curve enhancing corsets.
